Kay Stanis is an internationally known fiber artist, designer, and Certified Teacher of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America (EGA) and Kurenai Kai Traditional Japanese Embroidery.  She has taught at numerous national seminars and has a distinguished teaching and designing career.

The following basic tools and supplies are needed for all phases and can be purchased from the instructor at class:  fabric & silks for your Phase, tekobari, wheat starch, awl, shell powder, needle set, brush, triangles in millimeters, finishing paper, koma (1 pair), protective paper, and a Japanese frame.  You will also need the textbook, The Techniques of Japanese Embroidery which can be purchased from your needlework store or Amazon.com.

Teaching fee/class expenses are estimated at $200 (class expenses are shared equally by the students registered for the workshop, and the final amount will be determined at the workshop).  Fees for supplies are paid directly to the instructor at class.  Pictures of the Phases can be viewed in the Program Book at NGM meetings.  For additional information, e-mail NGM!
