Do you have ideas for future projects or a group project to donate to St. Nicholas for their annual auction? While you’re cogitating, work on any past Retreat projects or past workshop pieces you’re planning to exhibit at Show and Tell during Retreat!
This group explores a wide variety of specialty threads and stitches on canvas including counted needlepoint and finishing techniques.
This group meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Throughout the year, we will have introductions to the basics of needlepoint. Improve your skills. Topics will include fibers and threads; painting on canvas; and, stitch of the month.
We hope to have several completed Minnesota Map Project examples for when Gail Sirna comes in April, 2017 during Annual Meeting. If you have not started we will help you in any way we can…need to trace the map on the canvas, select stitches for the counties? If you are stitching the map project, we are asking that you keep track of the stitches you use for each county; this may be helpful for others as they go on to stitch the Minnesota Map Project.
Please see the newsletter for information about future projects and requests for volunteers to teach. We are also looking for someone to write the Evening Needlepoint Special Interest Group newsletter article.
