Throughout the year, Needlework Guild of Minnesota plans workshops, lectures and special events. The workshops for 2017 are listed below.

October 14th 8:30am – 11:30am
These intriguing beaded beads are reminiscent of antique Victorian slide bracelets. Learn 2 fast and easy methods to build the perfect settings for sparkling Swarovski crystals. These light catching little beaded beads can be strung to make beautiful bracelets, earrings, pendants, key chains, cell phone charms. Complete the bracelet with an artistic, secure, self clasp. All skill levels welcome.
October 15th, 8:30am to 11:30 am
Spikes are such a fun current trend. Learn to create sparkling spikes with secrets, like a hidden clasp and a special bead inside. Techniques to quickly build, embellish and link spikes will be joyfully shared. Spikes can be linked to create necklaces and bracelets. Skill level required: Intermediate to advanced experience in bead weaving, especially right angle weave, is recommended.
October 14th, 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Explore color blending, tubular netting, and horizontal netting with this exciting piece: a bracelet with the gleam and sophistication of fine jewelry. The bracelet is completed with a clever method of attachment to a high quality secure clasp. Some prior experience in bead stitching is helpful, but not necessary, in making this a joyous class.
October 15th, 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Learn 2 new variations of right angle weave as you create fine jewelry style beaded beads. Use these new stitches to very quickly and easily build a shimmering garden of self-supporting beaded beads. Create Pandora style beaded beads using new versions of right angle weave. Skill level required: All skill levels and ages welcome! Some prior experience with bead weaving is helpful.
Meetings are held in the large fireplace room on the lower level. The room is accessible by stairs or elevator.
