Wondering if Sashiko is for you? This project-based, online workshop by Sandra Brick will give you a chance to explore the art form.

Sashiko is a form of linear Japanese stitching using small running stitches to create either a patterned background or foreground. Working with a kit containing authentic Sashiko thread, needle, and pre-designed fabric, you will test out Sashiko stitches and come away with a hand-stitched coaster.

This class is free to Guild members, but requires registration. The optional kit price is $15. Maximum number of registrants = 30.

Supplies needed: a small pair of scissors and if necessary, a light & magnifier.
