Retreat Lite 2021

Are you longing to spend a day stitching with your friends? “Retreat” from work and chores and errands for an entire day? Kick up your heels in the great outdoors? Retreat Lite 2021 is for you! We’ve reserved the picnic pavilion at Rosland Park in Edina for the day, starting at 10:00 a.m. The Park is close to the intersection of the Crosstown Express (Hwy 62) and France Ave S. The pavilion contains 15 picnic tables and has three power outlets and restrooms are close at hand. 

There is no need to sign up in advance and no cost to NGM members, although a donation basket to cover cost of the pavilion rental will be available.

If you don’t want to sit at a picnic table, feel free to bring your own chair. Due to COVID we are not able to offer food, drinks, or other refreshments, so bring a small cooler with your lunch, snacks, and beverages of choice. If you prefer to eat out, the area teems with possibilities from fast food (Shake Shack, Dino’s Gyros, Jersey Mike’s Subs) to fancy (Patisserie Margo, RH Rooftop Restaurant, Tavern on France) to just plain fun (Snuffy’s Malt Shop, Town Hall Station) to dining options in Southdale and the Galleria. You can also find Whole Foods and Lunds & Byerlys nearby.
