Beading: Baby Steps Part 1

  • Fri, January 14, 2022
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

We will begin the Baby Steps toward Master Craftsmen project with learning the square stitch. This stitch has the look of the loom stitch without needing a loom. We will make six-bead by six-bead “squares” in three different colors that will be used on the bead embroidered scissor case in a later session. In addition to the kit beads, you will need to provide:

  • A stop bead
  • Favorite beading thread (the designer used crystal 6 lb  Fireline for white square and smoke 6 lb Fireline for blue and red squares)
  • Size 10 beading or sharp needle
  • Usual beading supplies

This group meets the 2nd Friday from 10am - Noon.

LOCATION:  We are temporarily meeting by video conference due to COVID-19.  A link to connect to it is on the Member Resources page.
