Necessaire de Voyage - Travel Necessary

One day Thursday June 9 and 1/2 day Friday morning, June 10

Delicate silk stitched pale yellow Primroses, pure white Snowdrops and blue Dutch Iris flowers in the decorative arts style of Art Nouveau adorn the panels of this stunning "Necessaire de Voyage."  The entire travel case will be stitched on 32 count linen with silk fibers and hand-dyed ribbons. Untie the closure and the travel necessary reveals a silk taffeta lined interior, with pleats and pockets.  A storage area has a place for all your treasured traveling tools and stitched accessories.

Darning Darling

1/2 day Friday afternoon, June 10

Jackie has not yet settled on a name for this project - but it is a "darling" heart-shaped case with a small darning sampler rolled up inside, stitched in burgundy

Case Study II

One day Saturday, June 11

A traditional geometric sampler band worked four times, using different stitches in each band to create a functional storage box that finishes into a cylinder case that will hold 2 containers (bottles/jars).  Colors are greens and blue/green aqua.

Registration details:

• These are "class only" teaching pieces, and you must be present in class to receive your kit.
• You need to be a member in good standing to register and attend the classes
• Registration will be on the NGM website, needleworkguildmn.org.
• You may register for 1, 2 or all 3 classes.
• When you register you will pay the kit fee in full and a deposit toward the class fee; the balance of the class fee will be payable at class by check and will be based on the number of people in class and actual class expenses.
• Deadline for registration is March 8, 2022 - FIRM DATE - to allow for enough time to order supplies.
• Kits will be ordered and Kit fees will be paid to Jackie shortly after March 8 - so you are firmly committed to the class on March 8.

Kit Fees & Class Fee Deposit Amount

Necessaire de Voyage -  $325 kit fee + $50 class fee deposit = $375.00 total deposit

Heart-Shaped Etui ("Darning Darling") - $125 kit fee + $30 class fee deposit = $155.00 total deposit

Case Study II - $155 kit fee + $50 class fee deposit = $205 total deposit

Additional class details will be sent to you via email after registration closes.  As it is too early to know what the future holds for the pandemic/virus transmission - we will be following federal/local/state protocols in effect at class time.  If Jackie is unable to travel, she will make alternate arrangements for the in-person class, including postponing to a later date.

All 3 classes will be held at the Shady Oak Room, Minnetonka Community Center. Maximum enrollment per class, approximately 25.
