Evening Stitch-In: Goals for 2022, WIPGO & Future Projects

  • Tue, February 22, 2022
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • online

We will discuss setting goals to accomplish our stitching for the year 2022 and what other stitchers on social media are doing.

Julie will present WIPGO. This is like a bingo game to help you stay motivated and get those WIPs (Works in Progress) done. There is a Facebook group devoted to WIPGO. The stitcher identifies goals for the year on their WIPGO board. Two numbers are called each month and the goals in those blocks on your board are the ones you work on. There is also a Free Space. Progress is tracked and the stitcher can also set rewards for accomplishing goals. This is a fun way to track and complete projects for the year.

We will also discuss future projects and speakers. One project we will work on this year is Erica Michael's Sampler Book. This pattern will be republished and available at the Nashville Needlework market in March. Anyone interested in this project will need to pre-order it from Stitchville now so she can plan accordingly and order the pattern at Market. This will be a great stash-buster utilizing fabrics and fibers from your stash. Julie Mafi will be presenting one letter each month and discussing the history of the stitch for each letter. For example, the letter A will be the Algerian eyelet.

This group meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday from 7 pm-9 pm.
