Evening Needlepointers: Picture This - How Pictures Work

We’re excited about this month’s meeting for two reasons: First of all, this will be our first hybrid meeting! We’ll meet both in person and via video conference.

Secondly, the in-person part of our meeting will be at our new church home, using the communication resources it offers. We hope you can join us!

Our program will focus on the book Picture This: How Pictures Work by Molly Bang. This book offers a very accessible explanation of the design principles that make a picture interesting - a useful skill in selecting a painted canvas or a line drawing to stitch. Denise Beusen will provide a brief intro to the concepts, and this will be followed by a video that demonstrates them. We’ll wrap up with an exercise where we analyze aprovided photo or one of your choosing using the principles.
