Beading : The Beaded Dragon, Part 2

We will continue to work on the Beaded Dragon designed by Thread a Bead by finishing the head and beginning the body.

Monique will have available for purchase two 3mm black fire-polished beads for the eyes, for 10 cents.

There are four colorways given in the pattern: two dragons with 3 colors, a rainbow dragon, and a (mostly) one-color dragon.

You will need the following supplies

• Body: 13-14 grams size 11 Delica beads

• Spines and belly: 1 gram each size 11 Delica beads in 2 colors (3-color dragon), or 0.5 gram each size 11 Delica beads in 5 colors (rainbow dragon), or 1 gram size 11 Delica beads in shade darker than body (1- color dragon)

• Eyes: 2 black/jet 3mm round fire-polished beads

• (Opt.) Eyebrows and nostrils: 0.5 gram DB-0010 size 11 Delica beads

• (Opt.) No-tangle bobbin

• Small amount polyester fiberfill

• Nylon beading thread size D in color close to body beads, or 6 lb. clear or smoke Fireline

• Size 10 or 12 sharp needle (don’t recommend long beading needle)

• Usual beading supplies
