Beading : Baby Steps: Bead Embroidery, Part 2

  • Fri, January 12, 2024
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

We will continue stitching the scissor case in the Baby Steps pattern using bead embroidery. We will learn how to stack beads, attach single-hole beads, and fill in remaining spaces of the beaded foundation.

In addition to the kit supplies, you will need:

Completed square stitch pieces (3)

Nylon beading thread, size B or D, in light and dark shades (Fireline, Wildfire, etc. are not suitable for bead embroidery)

Size 10 or 12 sharp or beading needle

Usual beading supplies

For those who would like to learn bead embroidery but do not have the directions or kit, please bring a cabochon glued on a piece of beading foundation (like Lacie’s Stiff Stuff), and size 11 and 15 seed beads in desired colors.

This group meets the 2nd Friday from 10am - Noon.

LOCATION:  This group meets hybrid. Those meeting in person will meet at MVUUF and those by videoconference will find a link on the Member Resources page.
