Beading : Baby Steps: Bead Embroidery, Part 4

We will continue finishing the scissor case in the Baby Steps pattern. We will stitch an outer border in beading backstitch while adding the back.

In addition to the kit supplies, you will need:

• Nylon beading thread, size B or D, in light and dark shades (Fireline, Wildfire, etc. are not suitable for bead embroidery)

• Size 10 or 12 sharp or beading needle

• Usual beading supplies

For those who would like to learn bead embroidery but do not have the directions or kit, please bring a piece of beading foundation that has been stitched in the desired pattern, a piece of Ultrasuede (or similar) for the back, size 11 and 15 seed beads in desired colors, and other kinds of beads, such as fire-polished or crystal, as desired.
