Daytime Stitch-In: Spool Pincushion

We will have all the supplies needed but you are also welcome to supplement with your own supplies. This project was a "Make It and Take It" from Maryanne Gay at a Retreat long ago. If you have one already made, bring it to show. Use your imagination to finish these in different ways.

Supplies needed:

• Wooden spools (we have lots of these
• Wide Ribbon (to wrap around the sides of the spool
• Narrow Ribbon or Cotton Floss (for the top of the pincushion)
• Needle and sewing thread (to slip stitch the ribbon closed around the spool)
• Felt (for the top and bottom of the pincushion)
• Stuffing for the pincushion (We will supply fiberfill. If you desire wool stuffing, bring some.)
• Buttons and charms of various sizes for embellishing the spool
• Glue (to attach the felt top to the spool and ribbon)

This group meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday from 10am - 12pm

LOCATION: The meeting is planned to be a hybrid. Those meeting in person will meet at MVUUF and those on video conference will find the link on the Members Resource page of the NGM website.
