Beading: A Cute Little Heart

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, we will be making a beaded heart designed by a member of the Contemporary Geometric Beadwork group, Helen McIntyre. She uses a unique increase method to make the elongated shape using Peyote stitch. The pattern is $7.45 and can be purchased here: https://tinyurl.com/4vx7t7ds.

You will need the following supplies:

· 2 grams size 8°seed beads in any color to practice technique
· 5 grams size 11° Delica beads (main color)
· 1 gram size 11° Delica beads (contrast color)
· 1 gram size 15° seed beads (any color, used to make loop or add embellishments · Embellishments (1-2 beads) such as 6mm pearls, crystals, fire-polished beads

· Size 10 to 12 beading or sharp needle

· Thread (can be either nylon beading thread or Fireline) · Usual beading supplies
