Evening Needlepointers: Creating Silk Ribbon Flowers on Canvas

  • Thu, July 18, 2024
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Letti Delk will introduce us to creating stitched flowers on canvas using silk ribbon, including examples of her own work. She will also demonstrate how to make silk ribbon flowers. If you’d like to stitch along with her during her demonstration, bring the following:

a small doodle canvas mounted on stretcher bars

embroidery floss

a piece of silk ribbon

Scissors

a #20-24 chenille needle (for the ribbon)

a tapestry needle

If you have examples of silk ribbon flowers in any of your projects, please either bring them to the meeting or send photos of them to Sarah H.

This group explores a wide variety of specialty threads and stitches on canvas including counted needlepoint and finishing techniques. All stitchers welcome.
