The Beading group has transitioned from monthly sessions to intermittent event-based offerings. Contact: Marilyn McMahon. Inquiry@needleworkguildmn.org There are a number of people in the guild who enjoy beading, both as individual pieces and as surface embellishment for other stitched pieces. People are also welcome to bring beading projects to work on at any of the regular monthly meetings eg Daytime or Evening Stitch-In, Come & Stitch etc. The group takes advantage of store organized bead classes on zoom and there is the possibility of getting together in-person to take such classes online. Let us know if you are interested in beading classes in-person, either beginner or advanced, or if you have any contacts with beading stores around the country that might zoom. Potential techniques may include a variety of off-loom bead weaving stitches using the many types of beads available, as well as finishing techniques and how to use jewelry findings. Some non-needle projects such as chain maille, kumihimo, and wirework may be scheduled as well. | Upcoming Dates for This Group
